40s Are the New 30s: Your Guide to a Fabulous Glow-Up

I am telling you that it is essential to keep going no matter what, it is time for your glow-up! Stay focused! You deserve the best life! You deserve happiness! While you keep going, I suggest you pour into yourself. Sometimes, in our healing phase, we are told to journal and spend time with ourselves—hell, but what does that even mean? Staying home reading, journaling, praying, meditating, walking, and going to the gym are all great things, but trust me, that is not all you need to do! See, The Fierce Mompreneur is about providing you with the tools and resources to impact your life!

Take the time to reflect on your interests and explore new hobbies that can help stimulate your mind and expand your social circle. Engaging in activities you're passionate about keeps you occupied and opens up opportunities to meet new people who share similar interests.

If you find yourself feeling bored and depressed, it may be worth examining the relationships in your life. Sometimes, the company we keep can contribute to our feelings of stagnation. It's essential to recognize that it's perfectly acceptable to distance yourself from individuals who no longer positively impact your life, even if they have been part of your journey for many years.

Life is a continuous process of growth and change, and it's natural for people to be at different stages in their personal journeys. Embrace this notion and give yourself permission to move on from those who don't support your growth. Additionally, consider putting together a plan to organize outings or social events once a month. Whether it's a group hike, a game night, or a visit to a museum, these gatherings can help you connect with others, strengthen existing friendships, and cultivate new ones, ultimately enriching your life in meaningful ways.

Join a fitness class! Pay attention—I said a fitness class, not the gym! Yes, there is a difference. Try committing to Yoga or Pilates twice a week at a specific time. Joining a fitness class is a way to make new friends who are interested in the same thing you are! Keep your commitment; now you have something YOU can rearrange. If you join a gym at this stage in your growth, you will have 1,000 excuses, and most of the time, it is no more than a commitment of $30.00 a month. If a family member, friend, or even your job needs you, you will not go to the gym and tell yourself you will go at another time, and many times, that is 2-3 weeks later. Remember, this is your season, and you are focusing on yourself!

Find delicious recipes on social media and host small, intimate dinner parties either monthly or quarterly! Planning the dinner can be budget-friendly or costly, but it is fun and will keep you busy. Invite between 5 and 8 friends and/or family members and pick a theme! OMG, imagine how much fun this can be! Use Pinterest and get creative! You can make it like a challenge: How to throw a dinner party for eight under $500.00, and if you do it quarterly, that gives you 3 months to start shopping for bargain deals.

It is time for your Glow-up!

More great things to do are join a professional women's organization, a group in your church, and volunteer on your child's PTA. With all those suggested activities, you are no longer committed to depression and your couch. Your calendar is complete, and you have things to look forward to! Please do not overdo it and still make time for your family and friends, but you do not need to wait for them to do things. Joining these organizations and a fitness class will help you eventually meet people in those groups who may be interested in traveling, dining at different restaurants, and finding hidden gems in your city!

I need you to commit to attending meetings and events for 3 to 6 months. It's important to emphasize that simply joining is not enough—you must actively participate in these gatherings. Engaging with others and immersing yourself in the community will enhance your experience. So, please try to step outside your comfort zone and join us! Your involvement is essential for both your growth and the success of our group.
