Kenya Moore Hair Spa Grand Opening...Disaster!
Wow, she truly overreacted in a big way. She had more than enough time to gather her thoughts and calm down! Kenya's brain didn't register that this was not an appropriate time—like, "Maybe this isn't the best time for drama at my spa's grand opening!" It's hard to believe that someone sent her those pictures, and instead of letting it go, she chose to blow them up and display them at her grand opening. I understand Brit's comments were out of line, but Kenya could have stopped filming with Brit instead of escalating things.
Here are my thoughts on how BRAVO handled the situation with both women. If I were Brit, I would have preferred that this episode not air because now it gives people the opportunity to look into her past. While some individuals would have researched her regardless, this revelation might not have surfaced until two seasons later in her time on the show.
I also don't understand why Kenya didn't gather the girls to discuss the secret photos, especially since Angela was very supportive. They could have used those photos as a major storyline throughout the season. As I mentioned in my previous blog, since BRAVO chose to air this, they might as well let everything unfold. Did Brit go to the police? What happened next?
You see, my girl Kelli was not for the bull crap; she walked out! That is how you stand on business and be a friend! I still want to see how everything plays out because, remember, last week (4/2/2025), Kenya was Kelli's #WCW, so I want to know if they show some apology. Well, Kelli posted this on IG today... Hunty, this is too much!
Did Kenya Moore Ruin her Brand?
So, let me ask you this: After last night's episode, did Kenya no longer film, or did they have to edit her out? Was this episode closer to the end, and is that why Kenya said her salon Build Out was not shown on the show?
Let's see. Season 15 aired May 4, 2023. I'm not going to lie; at this time, I was over it and no longer watching! I love Marlo, but I was turned off once she got her Peach! After over a year of fans sharing their "dream cast" collages on Twitter, Bravo finally announced the Season 16 cast on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. The network confirmed that the Season 16 cast includes Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi, and newbies Angela Oakley, Brittany Eddy, and Kelli Ferrell.
I see online that Kenya's Hair Spa opened on June 6, 2024. Was the build-out edited out of season 15? From the dates, it does not look like it could have been filmed in Season 16.
Kenya is going to have to figure things out. Say what you want, but the show is excellent for marketing your business. Look how many things Kandi was able to launch because of the show. Let's not forget Bedroom Kandi; that is when viewership was doing numbers! Kenya took food off her daughter's table. She could have had a decent run with the spa on the show for 3 seasons because Real Housewives might be over in three seasons.
For some reason, they can't get the cast right. In the earlier seasons, we did not know who these ladies were, and social media was not like it is today. Now, when a newbie comes to the show, she must be well-established. In other housewives franchises, a wealthy ex-wife can enter the circle just trying to figure it out, but in Atlanta, they must come in designer clothes, the best cars, and own five businesses.
